
There is much beauty to behold no matter where we are. These are some photos I captured when Phil and I have been out and about on California roads. The picture above is of a covey of birds out in a pasture immediately after they all lifted off the ground at one time.

We saw this baby deer along the roadside, and I was thrilled when, rather than running away when we stopped the car, he just looked our way. I think he saw the camera and smiled. :-)

A blackbird perched at the top of a dead tree trunk along the California Coast Highway.......

.....and eucalyptus trees growing along one side of Route 1, north of San Francisco.
