The kind gentlemen in whose driveway we had stopped in the Audi with the flat tire asked us where we were headed once the tire was changed. We told him that we wanted to go and see the seacoast of North Berwick. He told us that he was headed there himself, and that he would lead us there if we wanted to follow....which we did. Above: "beach" in North Berwick on the water of the North Sea, Firth of Forth.

Looking out from North Berwick to Bass Rock, a 450-foot high "crag" at the mouth of the Firth of Forth, and about 30 miles northeast of Edinburgh.

Beach, North Berwick

It was fun to watch the black lab running and playing in the (cold, cold!) water along the beach of North Berwick! See Bass Rock on the left side of the photo.
