Phil took the above picture of me on The Bund, which is the area along the Huangpu River that is the historical and financial district. Very beautiful. Young Chinese women kept telling me that my hair is "cool." :-)

The main shopping street, which has been "pedestrianized," is Nanjing Road. The above picture is facing in the direction of our hotel, the JW Marriott, which is located on the "motorized" part of Nanjing Road.

We were amazed to find evergreens and palm trees, as well as flowers in bloom!
