Jason-Paul watching TV....
...and spinning circles on the table top. He's such a climber, he must have Spider Man genes in him!! :-)
I'm a wife; I'm the mother of 3 grown daughters; I'm Grandma to 3 boys and 2 girls; I'm a sister; I'm a retired singer; and I love taking pictures! I also have my own website, which features some of my recipes, more of my pictures, and information on solo and group CD's which were produced during the 35-plus years my husband and I were involved in musical recording and performing. Yesterday (Tues, 9/7), Maggie, the Critter Lady, came to Sedona Summit, the resort where we are all staying this week. She comes each year, brings her collection of "critters" and lectures on desert critters in Arizona - scorpions, tarantulas, and snakes. In the photo above and below, she is showing us her pet scorpion (????) who "knows" her pheromones so doesn't harm her. Maggie has had this scorpion for two years.
In the photo above, Maggie is showing us Samantha. Julia would later *love* holding Samantha!
Maggie, the Critter Lady, and Julia Jo....Sedona, Arizona
Maggie introduced two tarantulas for us to enjoy watching as she talked about them. Above are Jack (dark male) and Sweet Pea (obviously, female).
Grandma White decided to hold Sweet Pea while Julia took my picture! (Julia does a fantastic job using, handling and focusing my awesome Nikon D80 camera, which is about as big as she is!)
A child holding the baby tarantula. :-)
These four photos show our brave little Julia Jo handling and "adoring" two different snakes which were harmless, of course. (Samantha, above; Cocoa, below.) She's braver than most of us, I would think....although her great-aunt, Teecie, says that Julia Jo gets her bravery from "Aunt Tee," who *loves* snakes!! :-)
